PROGRAMMING OPTIONS FOR 2026–2027 SCHOOL YEAR:

The available programming areas can be selected à la carte or altogether for a discount. Individual classes or programs may be selected, but they are not available as periodic drop-in programs. Families may elect to pay in full, enroll in an interest-free payment plan, or request financial assistance*.


In-Person Classes (Mondays between 9:30 AM and 3:00 PM* in Lorain)

This programming is for ages 5 (before 1/1/27) to 18 who would like to join us for our In-Person Classes, which will meet on Mondays from September through April between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm, *depending on enrollment numbers and skill levels. These amounts cover all materials, supplies, and the cost of participation in instructor-led classes unless otherwise noted. (One or more classes may be selected.)

Young Artists: Exploring Creativity Through Art

$13/wk; $390/yr

Let creativity shine in this hands-on art class! Students will explore various artistic techniques using paints, pastels, clay, and collage materials, while also incorporating STEAM-based projects. Each session will focus on self-expression, color theory, and design principles, with projects inspired by famous artists, cultural art forms, and creative problem-solving challenges. These engaging lessons encourage imagination, skill-building, and critical thinking in a fun, supportive environment.

Nature Detective Class

$12/wk; $360/yr

Spark curiosity and a love for the natural world with this engaging class, where students dive into a new nature topic each week. From forests and wetlands to wildlife and weather, students will learn about science and nature through hands-on activities, specimens, games, experiments, stories, and art! It’s a fun, enriching way to build knowledge, creativity, and a deeper connection to nature. We will try to go outside for a portion of each class, so dress for the weather!

Music & Rhythm General Music Class

$9/wk; $270/yr

Discover the building blocks of music in this engaging and interactive class! Students will explore rhythm, melody, harmony, and notation while learning to read and write music. Through fun exercises, ear training, and hands-on activities, we’ll break down complex concepts into easy-to-understand lessons. Perfect for beginners and those looking to strengthen their musical foundation!

Lakeview Lyceum: Debate & Public Speaking Society

$9/wk; $270/yr

Join our debate club and build confidence in speaking while learning the art of thoughtful discussion! Students explore the foundations of debate, persuasion, and public speaking while learning to organize ideas and communicate clearly. Through activities, guided discussions, and friendly debates, everyone practices strong communication in simple ways. Students may have opportunities to participate in debate competitions as their skills grow.

Rooted & Resilient Kids

$9/wk; $270/yr

Come stretch, play, and breathe! This class is a playful journey through yoga and mindfulness where kids will explore movement, games, and breathing tools. Everyone will work together to build confidence, manage stress, and develop lifelong skills for focus and emotional balance.

(Please bring a yoga mat or large towel and a water bottle.)

Confident Communicators: Public Speaking

$9/wk; $270/yr

Master the art of effective communication in this dynamic class! Students will learn to speak with confidence, structure persuasive arguments, and engage in respectful debate. Through fun activities, speech exercises, and real-world discussion topics, we’ll build critical thinking skills and poise in front of an audience. Whether preparing for leadership roles, academic presentations, or everyday conversations, this class empowers students to express themselves with clarity and impact.


Field Learning Activities: Hands-On Education Beyond the Classroom

Learning comes to life through exciting, real-world experiences, taking students into engaging environments on Wednesdays within one hour of Lorain County from September through April, where they can explore, discover, and connect with the world around them. Each outing is designed to spark curiosity and deepen understanding, where students will participate in interactive activities and guided tours that align with various school subjects. These experiences encourage critical thinking and a life

Student (Age 5+)

$10/wk; $300/yr

This amount covers the cost of participation in Field Learning Activities for one child (age 5+) plus all materials & supplies. 

Preschooler (Age 3–4)

$8/wk; $240/yr

This amount covers the cost of participation in Field Learning Activities for one sibling (aged 3–4) plus all materials & supplies.

Toddler (Age 2)

$4/wk; $120/yr

[With registration of 'Student (Age 5+)']

This amount covers the cost of participation in Field Learning Activities for one sibling (age 2) plus all materials & supplies. 

Infant (birth to 2)

FREE

[With registration of Student (Age 5+)]

Infant siblings under 2 can tag along for free! Our activities are structured to accommodate a variety of ages, best allowing siblings to explore, discover, and grow together in a supportive educational setting.

Chaperone (parent/guardian)

$6/wk; $180/yr

[One chaperone is required per family.]

This amount covers the cost of participation in Field Learning Activities for one adult chaperone plus all materials & supplies. 

Please note that transportation to and from and parking at these locations are not included in these program rates and are the responsibility of each family.


Physical Education Time: Movement, Teamwork, and Fun!

This programming is for ages birth to 18 who would like to join us during our weekly Physical Education Time on Tuesdays from September through April. These amounts cover the cost of participation in Physical Education Time for one child and include both structured and free-play periods.

Child (Ages 3+)

$2/wk; $60/yr

Through a variety of age-appropriate games and team activities, students will develop strength, coordination, balance, and teamwork skills. Whether playing classic sports, exploring cooperative games, or enjoying outdoor challenges, Physical Education Time encourages students to stay active, build confidence, and learn the value of movement for both physical and mental well-being.

Sibling Registration (birth to 3)

Free

Ages birth to 3 are welcome to be present during Physical Education Time, but do not participate in the organized group activities. Chaperones must actively supervise this age range to ensure safety for all participants and to maintain the flow of the structured part of the period. Younger participants are encouraged to observe, explore, or engage in movement and play, as long as it does not interfere with the organized activities happening nearby.


Registration Deposits

This per-family deposit reserves spots and ensures a place for children from birth to 18 and one chaperone during participation in In-Person Classes, Physical Education Time, and Field Learning Activities during the 2026—2027 school year. Space for our programs is reserved on a first-come, first-served basis based on when a family registers and makes this non-refundable deposit.

Family Registration Deposit

$60

This deposit is due when the first registration form is submitted in a family who has children registering from birth to 18.

*Full tuition is due prior to the start of programming unless a payment plan is selected. Enrollment at Lakeview Academy may allow families to redirect a portion of their Ohio tax liability through the Ohio Nonrefundable Tax Credit for Non-Chartered, Non-Public Schools (O.R.C. 5747.75), equal to the lesser of tuition paid or $1,000 (AGI under $50,000) or $1,500 (AGI $50,000+). In addition, donations to Lakeview Academy’s partnered Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) may allow families to redirect additional Ohio tax liability. These credits may be claimed together, subject to state guidelines. Eligible schools are approved annually by the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce. Families should consult the Ohio Department of Taxation or a tax professional for eligibility details.
