We will commence our drop-off, In-Person Classes for students beginning on Mondays this September. These days will bring our students together for group projects and discussions while providing a traditional school experience. We will offer music theory, choir, public speaking & debate, and art & STEAM classes for sure. But photography and philosophy are also in the works as possibilities!
Our Field Learning Activities will continue in the fall changing to weekly instructor-led programming with additional exploration time that can allow everyone to socialize further and discover even more at places like:
Cleveland Metroparks Zoo; Greater Cleveland Aquarium; Back to the Wild; Rock and Roll Hall of Fame; Great Lakes Science Center; Cleveland Botanical Gardens; Cleveland Museum of Art; Holden Arboretum; Cleveland Museum of Natural History; Lake Erie Nature and Science Center; Cleveland History Center; area metro parks; historical societies; police stations; fire stations; city service departments; beaches; farms; and more!
We will also have weekly Physical Education Time that offers a mixture of free-play and organized game periods, so our students get exposure to and gain experience in the same structured games that traditional school kids receive in gym class.
As a part of our unique educational approach, we empower families to educate their children in ways they see fit during our time apart. Families dictate their children's learning paths while they are away from us, and this is what blends the best of the homeschooling world with a traditional school experience, complete with a multitude of field trips, classes, gym time, and recess.
These areas combined allow individualized learning to happen and provide the best possible student outcomes while fostering personal growth, a love of learning, and promoting community enrichment—fully bringing "Learning Reimagined" to fruition.
Register with us and pay the family enrollment fee by June 1 to save a spot for any of our program offerings beginning in September 2025.

*In Ohio, homeschooling children ages 6–18 makes families eligible to receive a $250 tax credit. Enrolling children with Lakeview Academy could instead qualify families for the Ohio tax credit for Non-Chartered, Non-Public Schools. (O.R.C 5747.75) To qualify for this credit, families must pay tuition for their dependent(s) to an approved Non-Chartered, Non-Public school. The credit equals the lesser of the total tuition paid for all dependents or: $1,000 if the family's federal Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) is less than $50,000; OR $1,500 if the family's federal AGI is $50,000 and above. Only one credit can be claimed per return, regardless of a family's filing status. Eligible Non-Chartered, Non-Public schools are approved by the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce. A list of eligible schools, including Lakeview Academy, is available to view on their website October 1 of each year. Please visit the Ohio Department of Taxation website for more information, and consult a tax advisor.
